The Theater and Performance Club was started in early 2009 by Gemma Cooper-Novack, now a student at Harvard's graduate school, and current teachers Tina and Helena. Aimed at talented boys and girls from the sixth grade up, the Theater and Performance Club fosters critical thinking and arts exploration through theatrical exercises and the creation of plays and performances by the children themselves. Now in its third year, the Theater and Performance Club involves over fifty children in the village of Pokuase.
